Mediation

Divorce mediation is based on the principles of:

  • Voluntariness

  • Transparency

  • Mutual Respect

  • Specialized communication and negotiation practices

Mediation is non-confrontational and progressive. During mediation, you and your spouse will be encouraged to focus on the future and problem solve

strategies rather than focusing on the conflicts of the past. You will be guided to use "constructive conflict" - the art of taking disagreements and using them as a basis for a successful resolution. The process is also "child centered" whereby the parties are encouraged to consider and address the needs of children first and foremost.
